While working at the American Philatelic Society as the Chief Content Officer, Philatelic Press founder Martin Miller also served as the editor of The American Philatelist. In that role, he oversaw production of the world’s longest running philatelic journal and brought contemporary content and design to this flagship publication.
Production of a major publication requires both an effective team and the ability to manage many moving parts. Communication with authors, development of content, research, preparing copy and editing manuscripts are just the tip of the iceberg. Every article needs high-quality scans of the philatelic materials and well-researched supporting images. The materials also have to be properly (and accurately) laid out using modern design and production software. Once the design is complete and the proofing has been finished, the journal is passed to the printer and proofed.
The Philatelic Press is the perfect resource for producing philatelic journals, magazines, catalogs and even digital newsletters. We’ll interview you and your organization to understand your goals and then help you produce the publication in your field.
