The American Topical Association published it 168th handbook in August 2020. Somewhere near the middle of 2019, they approached us about designing a cover for their upcoming handbook Topical Adventures. Due to the untimely and unexpected death of one of the original editors, Jack Congrove, we took on a greater role with the book and managed its completion.
The 200-page book was originally produced in 8-1/2 x 11 format in full color throughout. The Philatelic Press managed the communications with the printer and the logistics of order fulfillment for the book.
Prior to the book’s release, we also created a simple online pre-order page for use on the ATA’s website. Pre-orders offered members, collectors and enthusiasts to order the book at a discounted rate, enable the ATA to gauge demand and produce cash flow in advance of the book’s completion by the printer. Finally, the book’s final online sales source is the ATA’s new website currently under development by The Philatelic Press (see sample image).
